This was a private commission in 2021. It turned out to be one of the most meaningful and important works I have ever completed.

This life size bronze in 3/4 pose from mid thigh captures a young man full of life, hope and possibility.

The text across his chest was from his own correspondence written during a trip to South America:

We will stay for a few days and then head north… where the blue desert lotus and the wild artichokes grow..

His fingerprints were cast into the plinth at the base of the sculpture.

We stay for a short while.
